Beautiful pink blossoms in the sunlight! (Lovely dof, too, Wendy!) I just checked with my plant ID app (I took a picture of your picture). Hmm...it says this is "True Indigo" (it also goes by a number of other names, but all a kind of Indigo) I don't know if this makes sense or not. Anyhow, it's beautiful!

@365projectorgheatherb Thank you very much Heather I was able to ID my shrub and yes it is True Indigo (Indigo Tinctoria) I never thought it would be so exotic and it does survive our frosty cold winters and snow.I bought it many years ago as a little plant about 12 inches high it gets no special treatment except to trim it back to about 3 foot high in the Autumn.
