finished my found poem watercolor

The poem came from page 133 in “The Poacher’s Son” by Paul Doiron. I’ve become obsessed with this series — I read the first three books over the last five days. The scene in the book is about a game warden tracking a bear that’s been shot. I left out all the gory details.
Very pretty. Love the green.

@missjenn Thank you!

So you cut the words out of a single page and re-arranged them into a poem? That's the coolest thing ever.

@margonaut Yes! On the left they are mostly in the same order they were on the page; on the right they’re a little more mixed up. It was a lot of fun. It’s been my goal to only paint birch trees this year. So no matter what we’re learning, I adapt it some way to birches. I thought it was pretty funny that I read this page a couple days before our Zoom class.

Really creative. I loved the birch trees growing up in New Jersey.
