Lily wrote this book, illustrated by Pete Morelewicz, when she was working in the tourism department in Spotsylvania County. It’s book launch, which she wasn’t invited to, was fraught with controversy yesterday! Tonight we got to meet Pete during his First Friday exhibit at LibertyTown Arts in Fredericksburg. So fun to meet everyone, look at some great art, and gossip about the crazy book launch!
What?!? She wasn't invited to a book launch for a book that she wrote? That's crazy! SO cool that she's a published author though! Did you have to stand in an autograph line at the art gallery? Is she going to make little crafty gifts to send to people who order one?
@margonaut Pete only brought one book to the gallery night, so no long line for signing! They gave out free ice cream at the original launch. Don’t think she’ll be giving out any cutesy homemade things given her current state of mind. She’s handling it very well and everyone is outraged on her behalf!
