Red To This Day

We went on a felucca tour organised through the hotel, which took us first to the rock-cut tombs of the Nobles across the Nile.

This is the back wall of the tomb of the governor Sarenput II. He is seated, extending his hand to an offering table; and on the right, Ankhu, his son, presents an open lotus flower, symbol of rebirth.
Wow! The colours are still so fresh and bright.
