Procession Lighting

Sunday was Festa della Madonna (Feast of Our Lady) here in Lucignana.
Lights were strung up along the main street, and there was a service and then a procession, with Mary on palanquin and a brass band parping away.
Many people turned up, and stayed on after the event to tuck into freshly made doughnuts!

Beautiful! Feasts follow the same course in Malta but with much more pomp and big fireworks displays.
