I am back to my routine after holiday; walk up Mt Kau Kau (about 450 meters high) on Sunday morning. I was puffing like a poodle. Good to clean the smog out of my lung.
@ianrm There are many places in NZ are Tolkienesque, You shall make a NZ trip one day. Hiking ( we say tramping here – In my opinion, hiking sounds much more romantic) here are just like walking in heaven – may be better.
I like that you said 'puffing like a poodle'. I'm going to steal that and use it myself. It's weird, the trees on the left hand side look all twisted and gnarled, while the trees on the right hand side are straight and uniform. It looks like it was a nice walk though.
Ah! Typical New Zealand forest I guess! It's so fascinating to watch these trees, it seems that they hold a trace of history inside and the time got lost among their leaves... I like to hear the sounds of forest...
