I loved the planned walkway on the oceanfront to the casino. Called Via Casino it invites you to enter through white archways decorated with hand-painted tile. As you walk up the slight incline to the casino you are surrounded by a tiled, stucco wall on the left and boats docked in the water on your right.
I walked this several times at night to close my green exercise ring. It was beautiful with the soothing sound of the water and the lights of downtown Avalon in the distance. I’d walk Via Casino every night if I lived on Catalina.
I would walk it every night too…if I lived on Catalina! That has been my dream since I revisited there in 2018. Unfortunately, the price for a home there has skyrocketed!
