DSC_0759 insect lg.crop

would any of the 365 community know what this insect might be. I didnt realise it was there on several of the photos I took today, until it moved. This one seems to show it best.

According to my Seek app it is an ichneumonid wasp… my first thought was a wasp of some sort with the shape.

Nice capture of the flower and insect. It's a female because that long "filament" at its rear end is an ovipositor (according to Wikipedia).

@kvphoto thank you for your comment and yes, I believe your are correct after a google search and the large thin tail is not a stinger but an ovipositor. (new to me),
