Faint as anything by boxplayer

Faint as anything

But definitely there. Going from yesterday when I was imagining I was developing a chesty cough since hearing about the Topette band members going down with it - to this morning when I woke up definite that I had a very slight chesty cough.

Took the test and there was that (albeit very faint) line that I've so far managed to avoid. Dave took a test too, but he's clear so far. Next week's music week now in the balance - it will be whatever it is.

Really mild though - had no problems working from home and trying to finalise our new starter's induction for Thursday. Only to get an email from her to say because of a bereavement she can't start till Monday. All going tits up then! Had to spend the rest of the afternoon completely redoing the induction programme.

3 good things amongst the tits-upness!
1. I can still work from home or if I worsen, can take paid sick leave.
2. I'm staying in my room and masking up when going to the loo or the kitchen - but the garden is still there. Spent lunch out there and caught the last rays after work.
3. Dave home now and making me supper of Karelian pasties with potatoes. He will sleep in the spare bedroom.

Not a good thing - 5th anniversary of the Grenfell Tower blaze. Why nobody has been given a life sentence (with key thrown away) for thinking it's ok to knowingly cover a high rise building with material as combustible as a tinder box is beyond me. And remedial works on the 1000s of other high rises that are covered in the same or similar 'might as well strap an oil tanker to the side of the building' materials is not happening with endless battles over who should pay for the repairs. One of the biggest scandals of this century. And if you ever hear anyone utter the trite 'health and safety gone mad', put them right. Health and safety legislation with teeth saves lives. Rant over.
