One of my favorite aspects of 365 is that inspiration abounds! We are such an eclectic mix; from diehard film users, to technogeeks, to point-and-shoot, to DIY camera junkies! From country to city, forest to swamp; every demographic is represented, and all approach their art from different angles. I can't think of a single day that someone's photo hasn't given me an idea, or driven me toward a technique I've been meaning to try.
Use this thread to catalogue; FIRST your shot, SECOND the shot that inspired you.
She has some stunning images and although her original project from 2012 is no longer accessible, she is back for 2013 and has given us access to some of her 2012 marvels here : http://365project.org/still_beachradish/365/2013-01-01
I was lacking a photo for the day when my Dad bought around some home grown blueberries. I had glimpsed @psychographer lovely blueberry photo on the Popular page and her photo inspired this photo from me :)
@grizzlysghost I, too, found myself inspired by you! Particularly your post on Jan. 3 about challenging ourselves.
I tried to take your advice. I had my first experiment with light painting. I had absolutely no idea how to do it when I woke up that morning, but by the end of the day I had decided it's great fun! Here's a shot from my very first try!
Thank you for the inspiration! I learned something new and I'm very grateful for how willing everyone in the 365 community is to share tips and encouragement.
@rockinrobyn Haha, thanks Robyn! I know EXACTLY what you mean about staying here all night! Looking through my photos, there are SO many inspired by others!
Mine is a bit offbeat --- and a little self centered? Lol
I saw an old picture from my archives that i took more than a year ago and inspired me to take another one but of a different time. I had to take several shots to get the angle right and adjust it in photoshop to truly match the perspectives. This is my first attempt at this thing so im really stoked about the result. :)
@jsorensenart@primitiveprobe Wow, thanks Jake, thanks Andreas. I'm sitting here at 7-20pm scratching my head about todays shot, and you have both just made my day.
How do you say you were inspired by Michael Elliott @michaelelliott? I can't just pick one. . .because all of my nighttime Cincinnati shots owe at least their initial gem of inspiration to his wonderful NYC shots.
@gabrielklee hey thanks for sharing my photo!! btw, i actually have gotten a lot better at free lensing then i was this summer when i took that shot. i finally 'really figured it out' and now i use it all the time :)
@emmy555 Thank you so much Emily. Honored that I inspired you in some way. Great capture. This is fitting because I was in turn inspired by Miley @miley89 to capture dice.

Inspired me to do some close-ups too:
But in short, it means deattaching your lens OF THE CAMERA, and placing it in front of it loose to create special effects.
So, every technique has its own name. :)
It reminded me that I had been wanting to photograph our pretty new coffee container -- a gift from my aunt. :)
