My followers/followees are located all over the world and I am fascinated at the different styles of homes we all live in. Like big porches, wood, brick painted, houses and flats, urban and rural.
I have yet to take one of outside my home ~ I am in a 'not nice' urban area ~ which should make for a good photo, but I am not tempted to take my camera outside here for all to see....one day maybe :-)
Seeing as I take almost all my shots around the house, I'm surprised that this is the only one of my actual house! Just realised how creepy my mail box looks...i love it :)
Oh, what a great idea. I love looking at houses - one of my secret hobbies is actually to go to neighborhoods where I havent been before and look at houses (oh God, I am such a dork!)!
I, unfortunately, live in a very bland apartment building, but I will try to photograph it anyway, maybe it will push me to see my neighborhood in a new way :)
@shutterbugger haha! Come on! You can share all your new lighting equipment with me then! ;) I should warn you...it's very noisy at my house. :) We lived in a really small house and after having 4 kids in 7 years, we were in need of more space!!
I'm a little envious of all you people with front yards and space! Unless you're in my neighbor's kitchen, this is pretty much all there is to see of my house. =)
We live right next door to this little church
We live in an old mining town in Australia
We live here, the old rectory for the church next door. A stunning old house, I wish the walls could talk!
@calx Unfortunately not. if we had bought a lot at the lake 28 years ago we might have barely been able to affort it..we already had a cottage on the lot we finally built on. in the last years you couldn't afford to pay the outrageous prices they ask for waterfront lots. even nowadays if you're lucky to find an old cottage at the lake which you would have to tear down costing you extra money unless you do it yourself the lot price is way out of our price range. were're talking over a million dollars for lot and cottage. so people who can afford those prices built monsterous mansions. can you imaging the resell price of those? not in my lifetime will I see that much money. some day I should take pictures of these places....oh well we're only 5 houses away on a side street and the park entrance to our beach area is within sight when I 'm standing at the end of our driveway. thank you so much for your comment on my pictures.
