Let me see where you live...

September 30th, 2012
My followers/followees are located all over the world and I am fascinated at the different styles of homes we all live in. Like big porches, wood, brick painted, houses and flats, urban and rural.

So let me see the outside of your home please :)
September 30th, 2012
I have yet to take one of outside my home ~ I am in a 'not nice' urban area ~ which should make for a good photo, but I am not tempted to take my camera outside here for all to see....one day maybe :-)

Seeing as I take almost all my shots around the house, I'm surprised that this is the only one of my actual house! Just realised how creepy my mail box looks...i love it :)
September 30th, 2012

September 30th, 2012
@boogie This photo for me proves the point.. this could only be in the UK, when compared the others above. I think I need to emigrate!
September 30th, 2012
Oh, what a great idea. I love looking at houses - one of my secret hobbies is actually to go to neighborhoods where I havent been before and look at houses (oh God, I am such a dork!)!

I, unfortunately, live in a very bland apartment building, but I will try to photograph it anyway, maybe it will push me to see my neighborhood in a new way :)
September 30th, 2012
@calx Hehe - very true! I used to live in South Africa and we had LOTS of land :)
September 30th, 2012
Here's a quick shot I took after we did some much needed landscaping. We live just outside of Joplin, Missouri, USA.

September 30th, 2012
@alisonp
you live in South Wales and you're afraid to take your camera outside??

Things must have changed a whole lot since I was last down there.
September 30th, 2012
@tryeveryday OMG Michelle I want your house.. This looks like a USA house, wooden with a porch.. I want I want. :)
September 30th, 2012
@calx Thank you so much! I feel lucky to live in it every time I pull in our driveway. :) Where's a pic of yours??
September 30th, 2012
Not as exciting a shot as some of the above but it is a little terraced house so can't make the shots too exciting. It's a bit overgrown;-)

September 30th, 2012
@tryeveryday It should be up tomorrow :) @mcdermgl You don't have any windows?
September 30th, 2012
We have a big old Magnolia tree in the garden which obscures any attempt to take a shot. I opted for the door instead;-)

September 30th, 2012
@tryeveryday I'm moving in with you k? Put the kettle on....
September 30th, 2012
@shutterbugger haha! Come on! You can share all your new lighting equipment with me then! ;) I should warn you...it's very noisy at my house. :) We lived in a really small house and after having 4 kids in 7 years, we were in need of more space!!
October 1st, 2012
@tryeveryday ok then, it's never as noisy when there's wine. Forget the kettle ;)
October 1st, 2012

I'm a little envious of all you people with front yards and space! Unless you're in my neighbor's kitchen, this is pretty much all there is to see of my house. =)

October 2nd, 2012
@bruni OMG is that the view from your porch????? WOW!!!!!
October 2nd, 2012
@calx Unfortunately not. if we had bought a lot at the lake 28 years ago we might have barely been able to affort it..we already had a cottage on the lot we finally built on. in the last years you couldn't afford to pay the outrageous prices they ask for waterfront lots. even nowadays if you're lucky to find an old cottage at the lake which you would have to tear down costing you extra money unless you do it yourself the lot price is way out of our price range. were're talking over a million dollars for lot and cottage. so people who can afford those prices built monsterous mansions. can you imaging the resell price of those? not in my lifetime will I see that much money. some day I should take pictures of these places....oh well we're only 5 houses away on a side street and the park entrance to our beach area is within sight when I 'm standing at the end of our driveway. thank you so much for your comment on my pictures.
