At the beginning of the year I was curious to see your all-time favs. (http://365project.org/discuss/general/16017/your-ultimate-favorites.) I figure it's been long enough to ask again, so let's see um! If you had to pick a handful of your favs to name your Ultimate Favorites, which would you choose?
I think all my favs are spectacular, but, in no particular order, here are my choices:
There are infinite backstory possibilities in this image, and as a Shirley Jackson fan, I love me some quiet shudders.
Every self portrait from Mart is intriguing and very well done, often without extreme (or else extremely obvious) manipulation. This one I especially love.
How cool is this? Totally Odd Nerdrum, right?
Look at that light. Look at it. You can hear that light. It sounds like a trumpet.
Just one of John's fascinating shots, itself a combination of his two best (in my opinion) subjects: self portraiture and astrophotography.
The idea. The clouds. The tires. The warp.
The drama contained in that hand. Wow.
There's rarely a photo of Ingrid's I don't fall in love with, but the stars aligned for this one.
I really have a hard time having favorite favs because I do love everything I fav and I am hardly qualified to rank anyone else's work besides the point but here are five of the images I keep going back to for personal inspiration at the moment
To pick just a handful out of hundreds....so, so difficult!
I know that I could have easily chosen five, or more, from each of these photographers. I've learnt loads from all of them, they are hugely talented and a joy to follow.
That's a really tough decision; I've seen some really incredible photos just within the few months I've been on this site. I'll post the ones that really stick out to me the most though:
@lucypics aahh, you are a sweetie Lucy, thanks. I had a look for mine this morning and one of yours was on there (howling Saski)! Will post my faves later.
@wind_of_the_sothern_sea I'm flabbergasted and so HONORED to rank in your ultimate favs, as I see your work day in and day out and think WOW. I've been in a slump lately, but thank you for that oh-so-much-appreciated-nod. xoxoxo
Wow..Spirrow, Jeff and Mick...I'm speechless. Truly, truly honored. Sad thing is that those are probably the best shots I'll ever have. Thank you all so much.
As for my top fav's, like everyone else, I wouldn't be able to pick just one. For each one has its own personality. Since its been awhile that I've looked at my fav's, threw 5 together that truly inspire me.
@aprilmilani - oh April. Thank you for reminding me of what was an amazing experience. For you, and for my followers, I think I may go back to the photos I took that day and over the next 7 days, post 7 other shots from that moment. Inspired by April and I will post them to one of my albums. Hope you enjoy them.
@jo13 - Jo, thank you so much for loving my tap dancing frog. I have suffered fotofunkdom this week and seeing my green friend posted here has made me smile. Thank you.
Now I looked through the 500odd faves that I have and I guess I love portraits, and I guess I love the stories attached to the many amazing people in this world and on this global community. I decided to pick 5 faves of mine where I would have dearly have loved to have been behind the camera and taken the photo myself. So here are just 5... could have picked 500.
@estheryoon who should come back to the 365 and finish her project. I love the honesty and maturity in her photographs. This shot is raw, beautiful and sincere.
@kmwilliams - Mask. Horse. Woman. What more can you say? Beautifully lit, creative, and fun!
@andycoleborn - I love looking at Andy C's work, capturing a new Britain full of life and vibrancy. It's what all the cool kids are looking at on their iPhones!
@ozziehoffy - For someone shy at being in front of the lens, you should spend more time there! This is the kind of selfie I want to take!
@houdiniem - My first fave of Miss Tull and the first of a hundred. So sad that her project here is about to end. So happy we get to keep seeing her work over on The Seven. How could I not post an ultimate fave without her?
@bobfoto WOAH Jason!! I'm floored. I am speechless. Thank you so very much. You do know me and my lack of liking being in front of the lens. Ps... thanks for making my day :)
@bobfoto Thank you so much for the mention here! Wow...It's been quite a while since I've done something actually creative behind my camera. I think you may have inspired me. :)
@losthorizon Thank you so much Beau - am completely honoured to be one of your ultimate favs!!!! This was one of my fav images from such a fantastic trip and it brought back some happy memories seeing it pop up on the screen this morning!: ))
@ingrid2101 Thanks very much Ingrid! It's been annoyingly busy here that I'm very behind and looking forward to catching up, so your comment was a great encouragement to keep going.
Wow! Thank you so much! I am absolutely flattered since I admire your work so much! I haven't been on here in forever either. Life has taken over. But I'm back!
