To all my friends and followers

April 17th, 2023
Herewith I would like to show my appreciation for the friendship, help, support and all the comments and favs that give my days so much meaning atm. I have been through a rough time and 365 kept me going and I am apprecating every single day here.

I also live in a first and third world country, making life a bit more complicated. For weeks we are without power twelve and a half hours every day. On four hours, off four hours etc. It takes it's toll mentally and physically.

I am trying my best to keep up with posting and commenting. If I do miss a post, sincerest apologies. The reason for my short comments, I am normally battling till the next loadshedding starts. Fondest regards to you all ๐ŸŒป๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ

I love this place - I often call it my happy place.
I can say that your photos have always brought me incredible joy. It is a privilege to get a glimpse into your life in SA through your photos and narratives.
I can't imagine what your life is truly like, but I understand a little more every year we connect here.
Please don't feel bad when you fall behind, I just lost 4 days! It does make you feel like a bit is missing though.

I love all that you give here through your images and friendship. You do an amazing job battling that loadshedding.

I think that it amazing that you post the photos that you do and are so up to date with commenting. As lovely as it is, it is important that you look after yourself and do what you feel happiest with. Please take care. ๐Ÿ’

Good morning Diana, Thanks for your message and for starting my day with pleasure. I thoroughly enjoy your posts and photos and the glimpses of life in South Africa. All the very best, Suzanne

While it's good to have this update, my heart goes out to all you are dealing with. Your photos are wonderful and comments so thoughtful. Whatever you can do will be just fine -- take good care of yourself!

What a thoughtful post Diana. Iโ€™m sorry that things have been rough, and I hope there are brighter days ahead for you. Iโ€™m barely here myself at the moment, and I still appreciate your kind and generous comments every day. Life takes over sometimes. Then it ebbs, and we come back. Look after you, and weโ€™ll appreciate however much youโ€™re able to share.

Everyone else has already said it more eloquently than I could but I agree with each and every comment. I count myself fortunate to have you as a friend. Please don't EVER worry about missing days with meโ™ฅ

Agree with everyone's comments here. I too love to see your life portrayed by the photos you share. I'm guilty for just liking, rather than commenting, life gets in the way sometimes. I can't imagine the frustration it must be trying to get your posts uploaded with the limitations you have to endure. just keep on doing what you're doing, no-one is going to feel let down if you don't comment.

Dear Diana, you are one of the most considerate and supportive 365er there can be. It is a fact. One thing I can tell, the photography you share is full of life and colour. It does not betray any hardships that you may go through. As we are in the same timezone and we both usually post in the morning, I have the pleasure to wake up to your bright and warm images. Let photography be your escape, rather than a chore or 'to do'. Things will eventually change.

@30pics4jackiesdiamond @koalagardens @wakelys @ankers70 @taffy @ljmanning @grammyn @yorkshirekiwi @monikozi Thanking you all from the bottom of my heart. Your comments make me feel very emotional atm. It is a great help knowing there are friends out there who care. I don't know what I would do without 365, it's been my lifeline.

You are all so very special to me and I wish I could get an opportunity to meet up. Until then, I will just have to enjoy your posts and comments. Love and blessings ๐ŸŒป๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผโค

Hi Diana - you bring a lovely sunshine vibe to 365! You make such an effort to connect and comment - and your posts are always a pleasure. Maybe take some time to just focus on your photo's and enjoy viewing others when you can. for a minute I thought you were going to farewell us!! Look after you and yours especially while you ride the current stressors out. take care my friend x

Hi Diana, I think that you are doing amazingly well considering the issues that you are faced with every day. Please don't stress about trying to keep up with commenting, just do what you are comfortable with and can manage. I'm managing to post pictures while we are travelling but that is all that I can manage.
April 18th, 2023
Diana, I agree with all the comments...there is never a reason to stress in this lovely community...You make a wonderful contribution to 365...continue to enjoy it every day you can, in any way you can. And I'm going to send a few prayers and good thoughts your way. Given your circumstances, I'd be stressed to the max. I experienced my first electricity blackouts over the Christmas holiday weekend for only 15 minutes at a time and I was a nervous wreck!

That is so thoughtful of you Diana. I'm sorry you are having rough times. Hugs. I love your pictures and want to thank you for sharing them. You live in a beautiful place. 365 Project is a wonderful place for us to share our photos with each other and it is also such a comforting, uplifting, and inviting place.

Oh gosh Diana, I didnโ€™t realise how often and how long your power outages were. It must be very stressful for you having to juggle your time yet you never miss a day with posting and commenting.
I love to see your images and comments but would hate to think you were pressurising yourself to keep up.
As the others have said, just do what you can when you can. Be kind to yourself, we all understand xx

Hi Diana
I wholeheartedly agree with all the thoughtful comments posted above. Your photos always put a smile on my face and it amazes me how you manage it the way you do. Don't ever worry about how often you catch up and comment...365 is an understanding community :)

Hang in there! We're here for you whenever you're ready and can be here. No stress. No worries. No problem!

Always love your photos. Comments when you can!

I lived in Nicaragua for 7 years and lived similarly...no water or power 12 hours a day was the norm...so I get it. And that you are still able to be so conscientious is admirable. But no worries here...drop in whenever you are able and don't stress. Enjoy your visions; we certainly do.

I can empathize, Diana, as we have had power issues recently. One day we went 25 hours without power and the following week, to the day, we went three days without power. It does wear on you but at the same time, it made me more grateful for something I took for granted. Fortunately, we have a good friend who loaned us his generator where were could keep our food cold and allowed us to have a microwave oven to do some cooking and heating food and water. We have since purchased our own generator. Just like all insurance, it is something you buy with the hopes you never have to use it.
I hope they get your power issues ironed out before too long.
April 19th, 2023
@skipt07 thanks Skip in the meanwhile we have bought an inverter as generators are not allowed on our estate. It only powers the tv and gives us wifi. Our power issues will unfortunately never get resolved as the money goes elswhere :-(

@ludwigsdiana - I can easily see where the US is headed in the same direction that you find yourself. There is a big push for electric automobiles in spite of the fact that the power grid is strained in larger populated areas during peak usage times. The environmentalists have had many coal-fired and nuclear power plants closed and no new ones built. They push for more solar and wind power even though they both have proven that they are incapable of proving the power needed by the public. We do have some hydroelectric plants but they only provide enough power to their immediate areas.

Wow Diana you have a lot to deal with, my heart goes out to you! You do a great job posting awesome pictures and commenting often!
I appreciate your update.
Take care of yourself!

@ludwigsdiana What a lovely post Diana which I'm just seeing now. I'd like to say a big thank you to you for all your support for my 365 Project. Considering the power issues you face your posting and commenting is remarkable. It must be very difficult to live with part-time power and other restrictions. I love seeing your photos - they're alway so bright and beautiful and take me to a different part of the world. I hope your rough time has a light at the end of the tunnel. And phew, I'm so glad you didn't say you were leaving 365 which is what I feared when I read the title. ๐Ÿ˜˜๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ˜˜๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ˜˜

Iโ€™ve just been a member for about a month, but you were the first person I started following. Both your landscapes of the beautiful countryside and your amazing flower photography are a delight each day. Keep up the amazing work when you can, please. Kind regards.
