I posted a pic a few days ago that got me thinking of different chocolate bars/sweets from around the world. When I visited my friend in Canada (I'm from the UK) I loved trying all the different chocolate bars etc that we don't have over here....
Thought we should start a topic to see your fave choc and who has what where?!
Here aer two of my faves to kick it off :)
@jennalou Wish I could take credit, but the photo I posted is by @vignesh. He's incredibly talented at making the ordinary look extraordinary, or in this case, yummy!
well... here's one chocolate picture... cadbury isn't my favorite chocolate... but it has been in the past... not sure what my favorite chocolate is right now... i'm a HUGE chocoholic :D
@minxymissk Really?!?! Hmm, I'll have to keep my eye out for them, I do my big shop in Asda so they might have to 'fall' into my trolley :)
Ahh, I love that there's another jenna louise :) :)
@jennalou it's cadbury's caramilk... oddly enough, i became addicted to cadbury's plain chocolate, and cadbury flake bars whilst in England some 30 years ago!
White chocolate shavings on raspberry swirl cheesecake with chocolate cookie crust.
My favorite all-time chocolate though would have to be the Magnum White chocolate covered white chocolate ice cream bars I had in Israel. I don't have a digital picture of it though!
@jennalou I live in Texas so we mostly have melting chocolate, nothing special. But I have this British friend that sends me Penguin chocolate for Christmas every year, and I don't know what the difference is, but it's AMAZING. Something about their chocolate is creamier or milk chocolatier? I dunno, she tried to tell me once about how it was purer or something, but I was too busy stuffing my face to listen... Point is! That penguin stuff is amazing!
I love chocolate so much... and it is about time that Indonesia produces its own national chocolate brand, since it is one of the biggest cacao suppliers...There are some local brands, and this one is chocolate brand made in Garut-West Java, invented by a young local entrepreneur...
Chocolate with coffee and apple flavour
@svt - sophie, an entire box of 18 was eaten (by me, all of it) during the 5-minute photo shoot, just to get these 3 shots. yummmmm! well, they're no good once they start to melt, you know? :-)
Not a chocolate bar as such, but this Chocolate Cranberry Sourdough Bread was baked by me this morning, using Green and Black's organic cocoa and big chunks of their organic dark chocolate (and a few cranberries)! Yummylicious!
I cant photograph my favourite chocolate :( It's Cadbury Dairy Milk but it has to be the New Zealand version. The one here in Canada is not the same.... sounds dumb I know but it's not. My next favourite is Pineapple Lumps.... cant get them in Canada either :( I'll stock up next time I'm down there :)
Whittaker's 33% Cocoa Kiwifruit chocolate.... a gift from NZ (I am lucky enough to have three blocks bought back for me)
Ferrero Rocher is a spherical chocolate sweet made by Italian chocolatier Ferrero SpA.
Introduced in 1982, the chocolates consist of a whole roasted hazelnut encased in a thin wafer shell filled with hazelnut cream and covered in milk chocolate and chopped hazelnuts.
The sweets are individually packaged inside a gold-coloured wrapper. Rocher comes from French and means "rock".
I usually eat Milka or Rittersport but don't have a photo of either - I always eat them too quickly ;). But here is one of a chocolate cake our mensa served a while ago:
I love all chocolate...I hate when it's in my cupboard and I'm not allowed to sneak in and eat some. My daughter's Easter Eggs are all STILL sat there begging to be opened. How can she resist them?!
That's exactly like what they are !! Yummo !!
Oh and my niece is a JennaLou!
Really?? So funny!! I only know like one other Jenna!! :)
