first off, i am quite flattered and humbled that you voted for my photo 'moi, la diva"; am chuffed really that my photo was in the company of such great works. but as they say, "it's lonely at the top" meaning it's difficult especially when you have to whittle down 102 photographs to 5. well, i say, it just wasn't possible.

voting starts now until midnight (toronto/new york time) on sunday, june 16th after which i shall count the votes. the winner will be announced on monday night.

in choosing the finalists, i considered the challenges that were given and how well each one met and responded to those challenges. i felt these seven photographs best fulfilled their respective challenges:
