@darrenboyj
and sometimes the sky is blue! Darren thanks for this question as you've made me realise
1. Although I am not religious, I do find church architecture inspirational for photographs.
2. What a good little p&s camera my Canon A1300 powershot is as nearly all these shots I've posted here were taken with it.
I really like this one and did the firstt ime I saw it! (I think I'm doing something wrong here - this is meant to refer to your shot (in colour) with reflections in the water.)
I take weekly walks in the natural park/lake 15 minutes from my house. It's right in the middle of the city and yet with the wildlife, natural hiking trails, and glorious colors, you feel like you're in the middle of the deepest woods.
I tag the images I have taken there if you would like to see. Thank you for the reminder that I have not taken time to go there recently. I must make time soon.
I love heading down to the Harborne Walkway - one of the entrances is only about 2 minutes from where I live... it runs through the city, although when you're there, walking along the path, it feels like you're somewhere else. :)
I am constantly drawn to this scene which is 10 minutes around the corner from where I live. Have just realised it has been a while since I photographed it, so thanks for the reminder ;-)

On the right hand side of each of your pages (under "View" , "Comments", "Album" etc) there is a title: "Share" right at the bottom of the list, under this there is a box with a html code (it says "copy and paste code" beside it). Copy the whole code (it is long and you can't see all of it in the box unless you scroll along) and paste it into the comment box here. This will come up as a lot of text or rather code when you paste it in. But once you press post reply the code converts to the photo. Hope this helps.
That would be the crab tree right outside my kitchen window. I can count on it for birds, flowers (in the spring), bees, crab apples...a fair percentage of my photos are in or of this tree.
I thought I posted in this thread last week but cannot find it here now so I'm posting another pic. This is Wood Lane which is literally over the road from where I live. I love walking along there and it's where I get a lot of my bird pics
Thanks to you all for the amazing images included in this thread, there are some truly mesmerizing places out there to be discovered as has been proved here. For me, it's always great to know there's that one special place where you know you're not going to be let down - however many times you visit it! Thanks for taking an interest :)

The local "Wiehengebirge" (a mountain with a pretty forest).
And just to the right of that view is this:
and this:
I take the time to ride my bicycle here almost every day...as you can see.
