Firstly I'd like to thank Laura @lauramalone82 for hosting the last collage challenge MFPIAC1. There were so many beautiful nature collages I feel privileged to have had mine chosen as the winning entry.
For this week I have chosen the theme 'my favourite colour' with the idea being that the 6 pictures are linked by a common colour. The subject can be anything you like!
The challenge will run from today (Sunday 23rd February) until next Saturday (1st March) with the five finalists being chosen by Monday (3rd March). Voting will take place until Thursday (6th March) and the winner will be announced on Saturday (8th March). The winner will host the following challenge (MFPIAC3)
Challenge Criteria:
Post a collage of SIX photos linked by a common colour
TAG: MFPIAC2
Photos don't have to be taken during the timeframe of the challenge, oldies are fine!
I'm really looking forward to seeing what you wonderfully talented people come up with.
@annied Thanks Annie, I knew you had seen it but thought it would be good to have all the names of those who participated last time in a nice easy list for future reference. Look forward to seeing the red - or yellow - collages!
@jodibear58 No problem, I did wonder about changing it to any number of pics but I wanted to stay true to Cathrine's original idea for the collage . @cathrinemitch Thank you Cathrine, it wasn't easy chosing a theme!!
@paulaw -PAULA!!! Just seen that you won the last challenge, CONGRATULATIONS!!! This is going to be another amazing and fun category to collage, I'll put my thinking cap on! Once again, many congratulations on being a worthy winner!
@jackie8 Thank you Jackie. I'm already panicking about chosing the finalists though. Think I'm going to have to rope in the family to help (if that's allowed!!)
@triciakano No problem Tricia, please don't be embarrassed. For this particular one you would need to make a collage of six pictures which are linked by a colour. Once the image is uploaded you need to put the tag MFPIAC2 in the tag box and that's it. If you like you can also share your image on this page for people to see. To do this you need to go to the image once it has been uploaded and on the right hand side near the bottom there is a copy and paste code. Just copy and paste the code into here and once you press the 'Post Reply' button the image will appear here.
Ps Oh and just be sure to upload and tag your pic within the time frame detailed above.
Hope all that makes sense and have fun with your collage.
@triciakano Yes it would. Some people with Ace membership keep an album for themes and competitions but I always upload it on the day I made the collage and count it as my pic for that day. Good Luck!
@lambda@mzzhope I'm sure there is a better way but this is how I do it. I open a new blank file and then File->Place each of my photo into the blank white page. Each photo you place becomes an individual layer. Then you select that layer(photo) and move it around and put it wherever you want and resize(Ctrl-T), same with other layers. Save the final image when you are happy with the positioning of all layers.
@barneyone Oops, the perils of a photo collage. Thanks for taking part Rita, but I've noticed you have tagged the collage mfpiac3 and it should be mfpiac2.
I'm afraid I not the most techy person Adam so can't really help about the sorting by colour question but you could try asking the question in a separate thread where someone may have some answers. With regard to my favourite colour .......... well that would be telling! Seriously I'm really not looking forward to choosing 5 finalists, every single collage I have seen in wonderful. Am thinking of mirroring them up on the TV and getting the family's opinion (although not 100% sure if that's allowed!!) Good luck with your collage.
Wow, what incredible collages. Please advise whether the photos in the collage have to be within my 365 project? In other words, can I delve into my non-365 archive?
All the collages are so beautiful. Here's an entry: not sure that yellow is my personal favorite color, but today it made me think about summer (sigh).
I don't do collages very often and it was more difficult than I expected to select pictures and then try to fit them together. Did make for a fun walk down memory lane, however.

My take on blue. Collages are addictive. :)
I've got the blues....

This is the first time I have tried to do this, I hope it works, I really had fun doing this and will certainly do it again.
