I had the oppertunity to take an amazing picture of some clouds yesterday. Would anyone else like to share their pictures of clouds? and any hints and tips.
Hints & tips, under expose a little if you've got big bright white clouds.
Take lots of shots, bracketing isn't a bad idea if you're not sure about the exposure, you'll soon get a feel for what's right.
Oh, and always carry your camera, and take plenty of shots - did I already say that...? lol
@jeweljaz99 Go to the picture in your project you want to post, go to the bottom right hand side of the page. You will see "share" and then a code. Copy the whole code, and paste it in the discussion comment box. The pic will show up when you hit "post reply"
Spotted your clouds earlier, Tracey - thought they were beyond beautiful! Just luhrve clouds and skies. I've snapped so many but this was probably the most unusual.... my very amateur advice would be to snap them as soon as you see them - sometimes they are gone in seconds.
I took this one on Christmas Eve. I agree with @filsie65 , as soon as I saw this out of the window I went to grab my camera and only had about 5 minutes before the light had gone
WOW Thank you so much everyone for sharing your pictures.... I am amazed at all the talent you have. I appreciate the tips and interest my topic stirred, thanks again.
i find the best time to fotograph clouds is at sunrise....i have more luck at extracting the pinks oranges reds and purple SOOC, sunsets are okay....so if you like to get up early
@kimmistephens It's when you set your camera to take a series of 3 exposures at differing exposures above & below the 'correct' exposure. Normally you can set up to +/- 2 stops either way, though this could differ between camera manufacturers (I only have experience of using Canon)
