This is a B&W thread - for B&W photography where B&W is the main mode. Selective coloring is OK, Sepia is OK, but the images in this thread should mainly be monochrome.

Because I dragged them out of their car to do this piece and it's the first time I've used the shadows and highlights after the b&w processing and it 'worked'.
I enjoy getting a shot where high contrast b&w improves the image. Silhouettes and strong lines seem to just lend themselves to this kind of expression. That's what I was going for with this one of the railroad trestle and a family taking a late afternoon walk.
This is my first b&w here, and so far the only one!
