I finally captured the colorful oak leaves outside the window today after forfeiting the attempt twice before in favor of young goldfinches at the feeder (seven at once!) and a squirrel nibbling an acorn (sweet thing). Today’s windy, rainy morning, however, had the big oaks bending, branches swaying, and leaves spinning wildly on their stems! I decided to stop trying to freeze the action to make the leaves look the way I’d envisioned them looking in the image I wanted to create. I let The Master take over. His creations are always way better than mine!
@cejaanderson Thank you, Jane! It's a dim day out there today, for sure; but I love the way the rain saturates all the colors. The trunks of the trees all look like fudge!

We first discovered and fell in love with this land on an October day when the leaves were ablaze with color, so Fall and these trees hold a special place in my heart!
