Christ's College Cambridge. Founded 1437. I don't I think I've been into Christ's College for over 20 years. It doesn't back onto the river and normally I walk past the closed doors on the way to John Lewis without paying it any attention. As spring is in the air they had their door open today and the vivid red paint above the Master's door was shining. It has large red Lancashire roses painted on it so it must be a good place!
Other than a small amount of cropping SOOC. Edit: And now I'm wishing I'd left it uncropped...
Oh my goodness, this is such a wonderful shot! The architectural detail, the color, the lighting, the composition, the charm, the history...I love everything about this photo. Another perfectly fabulous shot, Judith!
@mjkeator@peggysirk Thank you - I was very pleased to get it because the auto settings were useless so I had to switch to manual with a dog tugging on the lead and barking at me to get on with it in a busy street with taxis & buses just behind me! The wooden gate I was looking through has very impressive heraldry as well, belonging to Lady Margaret Beaufort - mother of Henry VII and not a woman to mess with!
