There are a few places along The Backs in Cambridge that burst suddenly into flower in spring. One spot behind Trinity has stunning crocuses but the college has seen fit to put a big skip right in the line of fire for photographers (and there are many). I can't believe they've put it there and if it stays I will be chaining myself to it until they remove it!
Very windy and grey again today but I parked up on my way home from dropping Adam at school this morning to wander down the path through King's College grounds - the borders are full of winter aconites. I only had my compact camera and I couldn't get it to do the focus & exposure I was after but as this is part of my morning school run I'll have another chance I'm sure. The buildings on the left of King's Chapel are part of Clare College.
@janellemc A skip is one of the ugly metal containers that you hire for builder's rubble - hopefully they'll fill it quick & remove it! Mind you this is the college that chopped down two rows of cherry trees in their prime!
