OK so I'm going for atmosphere over quality today. Monty and I met up with @helenmoss and altogether 4 two legged and 4 four legged friends walked a lovely 6 mile route around Dalham and Moulton, two very pretty villages in Suffolk. The route to Moulton goes through Newmarket - an attractive market town famous for its racecourse. There are many stud farms and racehorse stables nearby but I had forgotten that they all go out to train on The Gallops in the morning. By the time I was meandering down the Moulton Road, which bisects The Gallops, lots of racehorses (probably 100) were on their way home. I pulled up and took a couple of point and press pics through the car window hence the low quality but it was a lovely way to start the day and certainly beats waiting at traffic lights.
Edit note - Don't be feeling sorry for them it was just a bit misty - hasn't rained here for ages and the sun came out later. Looks like an idyllic lifestyle if only the horses weren't so scary....
What a lovely surprise, I have watched cows going to or from the milking parlour on occasions, but never more than one or two (OR Maybe five!!) horses at a time.
Judith, great capture for a shot from your car window. The mist looks lovely ......then again it could be your car window was murky, giving you an instant 'mist filter' :)
