With so many flowers on a clematis Montana it's easy to overlook the beauty of an individual bloom. @peggysirk took a beautiful picture yesterday and inspired me to look more closely at ours.
Nigel and his dad have been working like Trojans all weekend to clear the 'work area' at the end of the garden. It's now the perfect spot for a few hens to scratch around between the compost heaps and the log pile. Watch this space for pics in the next few weeks :0).

I like the angle you have taken this at, shows off the stamens to perfection ! Glad A has had chance to be at home with family round him. You will love your hens but try not to let them anywhere precious !!!
