A hot beautiful spring day with flowers and blossom everywhere and one of Adam's primary school friends collapsed and died playing football today. Fourteen years old - a reminder that life is fragile.
@araminta Seems to be OK now thanks - he was shocked when it came up all over Facebook though - and then there's all the wondering if FB has run away with something that isn't right - but unfortunately not.
I am so sorry. I work with 14 year olds, they are so packed full of energy, it's hard to remember how fleeting life can be. It's alot to take in, especially for your son. My thoughts are with you.
Lovely picture but such a sad story..our hearts go out to the parents ! Asthma been in the news recently with all the pollution & it really brings it home to you how dangerous it is !
such a fitting picture for the sad news of Adams friend, and those he leaves behind, for they have the hardest journey..hope too Adam is fine as can be at this time...
Death is difficult at the best of times, but so young is very tough for all around. My thoughts to the lad's family and hope Adam is OK in the coming weeks. Lovely shot - fantastic letterbox cropping (LOL) and great colours.
Lovely play of purple and yellow - such a pretty happy pic but such a tragic heart-rendering story. Life is so precious and so fragile and tomorrow is promised to no-one. Condolences.
Oh my goodness...I am so sorry to read of that tragedy. What a heart breaking and shocking loss of one so young. There are simply no words to make something like that understandable or easier to accept. Your beautiful image certainly conveys the delicate nature of life.
Oh no, I'm so sorry he was one of Adam's friends. I saw the story about that poor lad in the paper. It definitely makes you stop and take stock. I was talking to someone the other day whose daughter was in the same class as the 15 year old girl who died of a drug OD at a party in London the other day. That had the same effect. Somehow as the kids get older they seem more fragile than ever.
@helenmoss I know - and it wasn't asthma they don't think - seemed to be really fit and healthy - as well as being upset they find it worrying as well.
Love the photo, I think the colours yellow and lilac scream spring.
Prayers for the lads family & friends - life is very fragile! :(
This image is beautiful and yes, a reminder of just how precious and fragile this life is.
