In the absence of anything worth watching at the cinema we took the kids Tenpin Bowling as an escape from exam revision. It's fair to say we are a pretty hit and miss family. Specifically, Nigel hits and Adam misses. I briefly stunned everybody, including myself, by hitting a few strikes but I reverted to the gutter at the end so as not to change the habit of a lifetime. I was telling Nigel on the way home that bowling alleys are how I imagine hell to be - the sensory overload would eventually drive me insane. We went to the science museum in Birmingham once - that was the same - constant noise and flashing stuff everywhere you look - a nightmare. Anyway - I can manage a couple of games without getting too grumpy so long as I have a supply of chocolates out of the 20p turny machines !!
This pic is Rachel doing her stuff - the most consistent of all of us!
Great action shot here & the blue & light captures the speed & sound somehow !! I have only been tenpin bowling twice in NZ & I know exactly what you mean! I did remarkedly well as I used to bowl so think I must have had the knack but wouldn't make a habit of it ! Didn' much like wearing the shoes though !
