In the middle of the off-lead dog walk at the Gog Magog's is a field of sheep which is quite an exciting prospect for a poorly trained spaniel. I always put Monty on the lead as we go past the gates - they should be dog-proof but I really don't want to find out they're not. This sheep was the only one who took any notice and even then she didn't pay attention for long so I'm guessing they don't often get doggy intruders - I still won't be testing Monty's powers of entry. I think this has a rather wintry feel but it's actually bone dry again in the fields and although there were big black clouds they moved over to rain somewhere else - sorry.
@clairelizteuber Thanks Claire, that's what I like - the diminishing scale - but I hadn't realised until you said it. That would be because you know what you're talking about on the art front!!
Lovely DoF & I like sheep of course, I don't know what breed these are . I am quite surprised how dry it looks & not much grass to eat. Poor Monty doesn't sound like he's allowed any fun at all !!!
Another winner, Judith! This is such a fabulous shot. I especially love it because it does have a cooler weather feel to it. Well done! But I'm not buying that Monty is very wolf-like...the sheep don't seem too concerned either. :)
I love this shot! Love the expression you caught, love the focus, the composition (you're awesome at composition these days!) and I really, really love sheep. A fav for me!
Love this picturre and the editing! The focus is great, I immediately recognized the blur that you get with a long focal length when I saw it. Sometimes I like using the telelens just for this reason, even indoor, although it's not easy and convenient :-)
You should indeed be " sorry " only because you have soft memories for Manchester are you admonished..have a peaceful weekend and give a biscuit to Monty from me..funny really when i was a wee toddler we had a black lab in Singapore called Monty..i wonder now if the lab was named after the famous wartime general..and your Monty..???
@tsingtao It's raining now - serves me right for being smug! Our Monty was named after Monty Panasaar - just about killed his career though!! Your Monty's original caravans & map rooms are at Duxford Museum down the road - they are really interesting to visit.
