I took a few funky shots of the market today but was underwhelmed with them when I looked on the computer. Yesterday I was out with Monty in some nice fields with my P&S - not really bothering because I still had London shots 'in the bag' but it's better at macro than my 'big' camera and I couldn't resist these thistles which were covered in busy bees. It's not often I get a shot that I don't even crop so I'm going with this one tonight
Such a great close up showing all the little hairs & spikes..lovely colours too Judith ! That's interesting that you say your P&S does better at Macro ! I really feel I haven't got to grips with my camera yet & think people take far better photos than me , I I think it's because I rush it.
Wow gorgeous shot, such great detail, love the pollen and bees where would we be withouth bees? they are such hard working insects. The roadside verges are full of beautiful flowers and grasses, so pleased they don't seem to use so much weedkiller these days.
love this - the colours are fab. Great detail. My P&S is better at macros - but is suffering with Lumix spot so my big camera is being put through its paces now!
@sparkle juliette, what do you mean by 'lumix spot', do u mean a little spot on all your images in the smae place or a spot that only appears under certain circumstances ? do i need to google it ?
This is simply marvelous! I love this photo. I can't seem to get a decent macro shot to save my life ~ with either of my cameras. My P&S is a Lumix similar to yours and I haven't been able to get a closeup shot anywhere near this quality. Maybe I should download the complete manual and actually read it. :)
@peggysirk Thank you! I was finding it hard (trying to use the macro zoom setting) but I'm pretty sure I stuck this on intelligent auto, held it really close to the thistle and pressed the shutter - no talent involved!!
Nice macro
