Last night I got out the tripod my dad gave me so I could take these ivy flowers in the evening light . Well worth it as with the low light and zoom lens I had terrible camera shake. Funny stuff ivy - I love it and hate it in equal measures....
This looks like the same sort of ivy we have over our porch Judith !! Do you get lots of bees on it & after awhile does it have a strange smell, not unpleasant but different? I took a photo of mine the other day but it wasn't half as good as this! your lighting is superb ..I think I might be tempted to get a tripod sometime !!! Lovely shot !
@happypat Yes you can hear it buzzing away! I'll have to go out and sniff it... It grows completely rampant over the flower beds though to be fair I'm grateful for anything drought resistant at the moment!

Beautiful lighting, I really don't like ivy, I think it is because our neighbours have it and unfortunately we have to share it with them, it grows over our walls and now the walls are crumbling!! very frustrating.
Fantastic shot! Beautiful soft lighting ~ perfect for illuminating the spider web and creating marvelous bokeh. I know what you mean about ivy ~ I have the same relationship with it. :)
