Three foreign exchange students inside the box and one outside. I'm guessing they were avoiding using mobiles because of the charges. They studied the instructions in the phone box and re-emerged looking baffled. I can't say I blame them - last time I tried to use a phone box it was full of instructions about texting and Wi-Fi - it wasn't clear at all how you actually make a phone call!

Great shot - I have shot these boxes before...and answers a question I posed a while back about whether anyone actually uses them any more...there we go - NO, too difficult!!
This is a great photograph! I like the color contrast as well as the various lines and textures. Sad to think one day those red boxes will be in a museum.
Love this shot...and the fact that there are still functioning phone booths in the world. Apparently they've become more complex than I remember and it probably costs more than a quarter to make a call these days. Nice addition of bicycles in the composition. :)
What a great street shot! I was in London briefly a couple years ago and saw these for the first time. Can't tell you how many photos I took of them! Here we call them phone booths and I have not seen one in years.
@peggysirk I went in and checked - 60p - pretty much a whole dollar!! 20p last time I used one though to be fair I don't suppose they cover their costs!

I don't remember seeing a phone box in Paris nowadays... maybe there still are in some remote places.
..unfortunately these boxes are going the same way as pubs.. and when they gone, they gone.
