I took Monty for a run out at Lode today - partly because he needed a run and partly because I usually come away with a picture I like and if I don't I can nip into Anglesey Abbey's WInter Garden. Alas there is extensive tree damage after the storms - mostly it's left to rot down naturally and is all part of the ecosystem but it must have been a scary place last week. I didn't really get any inspiration - a dull day, muddy paths and not much happening but I did catch these two 'engrossed' on the way back to the car - they wandered off towards the pretty chapel at Lode which seemed fitting. I stuck Monty in the car, changed out of my wellies and promptly discovered I'd left my purse and National Trust card at home - so no WInter Garden :0(
Nigel and I have headaches from setting up new computers and are a long way off from being sorted out. Switching wholesale from PC to Macs ... haven't tried printing or anything to do with work yet (there may be tears on Monday!)
So this is a bit of a dull picture I'm afraid but my memory stick contained a whole load of photos taken by Adam for his art homework. I've stuck one in Extras and there may be more - much better than this!!
I don't think it dull... it is serene. And best of luck with getting a new computer, esp. shifting from an IBM type to an Apple. I think that might be a challenge, but prob. one that is worth it in the end!
This is lovely! Good luck with the computer switch over. I was going to say that Macs scare me, but then I realized I love my iPhone, iPad, and iPod ~ so I'd probably do alright with a Mac. Let us know how you like/love it. :)
Trust me-- you will love your Macs! It's a bit of a learning curve-- isn't everything-- but ultimately it's all more intuitive. I like the photo too, by the way.
i like this judith, the couple are nicely placed on the thirds and there is definitely a feel good factor to the image (probably because I'vw got a song stuck in my head now !!). I think it could make a nice B/W too .
are you mad? 'a dull picture' ???this is so romantic. The composition is so great. I faved it before I read your story as it evoked an immediate emotion from me.
I have the song in my head too & this is a perfect illustration Judith ! Sweet shot & oh to be young & in love hey !! Like that cinema scope too ! You mention memory sticks allot but I just take my photo & download onto the computer & away I go !
I quite like this judith - shots this year are a bit strange, I'm willing mine to look a bit more wintery - too many months of the same colour and drudgery!! I like the tones and the scene here. PC swapping sounds a nightmare, don't envy you!
@sparkle Brown brown brown!! Mind you going through and having a photo cull made me realise that it won't be long till we get blossom - nice to have some frost first though!
I love the way you've captured the couple on the side of the photo - such a pretty place! I'm sure you'll love you new Mac. Hopefully, you'll be able to take some classes at the Apple store - they're wonderfully helpful. Great for working with photos! I'd never go back to a PC - I love my Mac!
