On Fridays I've taken to investing £3 on a few bunches of daffodils to bring some spring cheer for the week ahead. I pointed out to the flower stall man today that my first bunch which were supposed to be white opened into ordinary daffs (nice but I could have had those for £2.50), and the ones he promised me last week had orange trumpets also turned out to be plain yellow. This week I bought some 'double daffs' which were open far enough to be sure they were the right thing and against his better judgement he threw in some freebies to placate me. I may still defect around the corner to the other flower stall though because from there I spotted this little floral beauty. The weird clay pillars behind are in the garden of Great St Mary's church and I can't remember what they are supposed to be - they appeared one day and seem to have survived remarkably well. Monty is in my Extras with VERY smelly wet feet...
@fueast hah yeah can just see some tea-leaf turning his nose up thinking he wouldn't be seen dead nicking that!
nice flowers and bike yes, but most importantly, whats youroverall total fave count on your stats?
@rich57 Yeah I never really do them.... At least not more than once a week. I'm actually a bit irritated by that white poster!! @sleepdozer57 Thanks - it's even working for me now - let's see how many Followers I lose because of it! @fueast I don't know - when my daughter's bike was stolen they left her bike helmet on the pavement and nobody else nicked it either!
Totally charming basket! Those clay pillars are a bit different ~ but nicely artistic. Another marvelous composition, Judith! And I love the idea of your Friday investment...flowers are good for the winter-weary soul. :)
@phil_howcroft I've seen this bike round and about quite a bit - you start to notice potential photo ops!! I'm imagining a bit of a shock when they notice that poster looking at them!
A lovely shot of the bike with the flower basket. That poster is a very distracting though if I'm honest. Glad you bought the daffs you wanted to see this time.
Hi Judith - I've just discovered you on 365 and put you on top of my favourite's list! Love your work, you live in a beautiful part of England which obviously gives you loads of inspiration, and you have a huge talent as well. Keep it up!
