I had a splendid day today in Cambridge with Juliette @sparkle and the added bonus of lunch with @helenmoss and Karen. I was faffing around not really understanding my new camera so I didn't get much for my efforts but do check out Juliette's spectacular wide angle shots - probably not till late tonight as she won't get chance to process them until late.
How fabulous to share a day with friends from here. I like the angle you chose here. I guess this wasn't in the middle of a service!! Love the little splashed of red too and a clever title!
I was thinking of you today & al you 365ers having fun & sharing tips !!! The focus on here is superb Judith & I think you have mastered new camera beautifully !!! I am tempted to think of getting one myself sometime when I have saved up from my trip but know that it's not always the camera but the person behind the lens that is the photo !!!
oo very nice but not what I was expecting. I thought there might be some 365 inter-portraiting going on. Glad Juliette taught you how to use your new camera though :-) @sparkle
This is a wonderful shot ~ love the perspective and the focus! You are doing a beautiful job with that new camera, Judith! Although I agree with @happypat...I think it's 80% photographer behind a shot. Sounds like you had a lovely day with friends and cameras today!
@happypat I've got a long was to go Pat but this is completely SOOC - the light levels in the chapel were very low - the ISO here is massive but it's not as grainy as I thought it might be so I'm pleased with what the camera is doing. But it can't make me hold the camera straight - most of my shots were wonky - I'm blaming the bad shoulder!
@maggiemae It was a toss up between Canon and Nikon - I read a few reviews which said that Canon have a slightly easier interface and Nikon have better sensors etc but I liked the feel of the Canon and then I went for the best model I could afford and have a bit left for lenses and also one that's not too heavy. I'm very pleasantly surprised that the D600 is so light.
