I got up at 6.45 to fetch Adam from a sleepover so that we could get to a hospital appointment at 8.15am. It was -13*C and we arrived to find that he had been booked in for the wrong doctor - and since the wrong doctor was a rheumatologist and not an ENT specialist we had to head home again! Luckily we don't live far away and between home and hospital there was some great hoar frost action. I'd stuck my old camera in the car (don't want to get my new one cold!!!) so I nipped over for a couple of shots. Not brilliant but my fingers and toes were screaming for mercy. I may find some other shots later but I've got a lot to get through and Nigel is braving the weather to take the dog out and I'm not about to argue with him! Stay warm - or if you're in Australia stay cool!!
@wordpixman The really annoying thing is that there were better sunrise shots on the way there and I didn't stop!! The receptionist looked so scared that I couldn't be cross, especially as it wasn't her mistake.
Oh dear, what a wild goose chase. Still this is a
great shot.I 've been out and taken loads - but haven't looked at them yet. It wasn't easy as the sun and snow made the conditions really bright.
So advantages appear out of disorder Judith !!! What a time to have to get up & all wasted except for your lovely picture ! I saw on the news you are having bitter temperatures -13 to-16 . !! We are lucky here, no snow & only -2 . Super hoar frost on this teasel plant & wonderful DOF ! Keep warm !
Wonderful frost! Nothing like that over here. Can I pass on some help on your shoulder.....I had tendonitius in my knee and the tablets made me feel so peculiar I gave them up and carefully rubbed Arnica gel into the area. Slowly slowly it got completely better. Just an idea if you don't like taking stuff.
Wonderful capture, looks cold, but beautiful with that lighting; it's magical.
Sorry to hear about the outcome of that hospital visit; how very annoying.
I can just imagine how annoyed you must have been with the mix up ! love your frosty picture....btw I had to smile at your comment on Helens pic about the well trained Monty ??
