A dreary old day today after yesterday's beautiful sunshine. I was back down by the river with Monty but this time along the towpath to Fen Ditton. Not much exciting photography action apart from some out of focus flying swans and an under-exposed nest-building robin (who may feature at some point on the grounds that he's cute). These swans were hanging around the house boats begging for scraps and came determinedly towards me but I was empty-handed. Anyway there's lots more nutritious stuff in the river to eat. Book club at ours tonight and I've just let a cake burn (which has taken forever to cook and then as soon as I sit down to Picnik....) and need to get the Hoover round so comments to follow ASAP!
Gorgeous composition with the two-coloured green lines in the upper section and their reflection in the water plus the differently cruising swans - nice!
See you went for the grey day swan for cheery highlight photo - very nice it is too. The forecast here is for cloud all week. Might loose the photographic will to live this week!
Lovely green reflections on the water - it really makes a contrast against the swans. It was a grey day today wasn't it? I cheated and posted one from my visit to Anglesey on Saturday. I knew I'd get those snowdrops in sometime.
Love love love the reflections - almost looks like paint by number. Enjoy your book club - with enough stimulating conversation, maybe they won't miss the cake. Say that Monty ate it.
Judith. hope the book club was fun in spite of the burnt cake! The sort of mistake I'd make myself...think I'll just take a minute...then before I know it...disaster!!
