An unscheduled trip to Wimpole Hall with Monty today. Not quite what I'd planned but the highways people have decided to dig up half the roads in Cambridge at the same time and they sent me on a huge detour when going to collect a friend so Wimpole was the easy option. And very lovely it was too. Although the grass is very dry and didn't provide the 'green' shots I wanted I did like the view of the Hall from the 'ha ha' which is flanked by frolicking boys who obviously can't afford clothes.
Huge thanks once again for the amazing response to my forest shots - 'Leading Lines' is by far my most 'fav'd' photo - a real boost when inspiration had deserted me. Off to governors meeting later so I'll be doing my best to view and comment around that.
Lovely distant view of Wimpole Hall, an amazing roof line, all those chimney things & turrets ! Cute boys but they wouldn't be allowed to frolic like that in public now !!
I want to tell you that your "Leading Lines" image is fantastic, but I got a cramp in my finger scrolling down to place a comment.... so I went to another image that doesn't have quite as many posted.
