Well it looks like a peaceful walk along the River Cam at Waterbeach but with my friend's 8 month old labrador and Monty haring around like demented idiots we had to pay attention and make sure we didn't get knocked flying. Sleepy dog now though :0) Unfortunately there isn't actually a beach at Waterbeach...
Lovely photo. I know exactly what you mean about non-restful walks with dogs. One of ours has a new hobby of running off, so you have to be on the look out for her disappearing all the time.
A lovely tranquil scene Judith, I'd love to see Monty dashing into the water spoiling the tranquillity :) ...I just did a quick look through your back catalogue from when I was away, to see how often Monty appears...love the Monty in the snow pic
@phil_howcroft Is that the lost hoop one? That was funny! And what about that one where he's a teeny tiny speck because he's gone on a deer chase - I wasn't so impressed with him then!!
@judithg it was him leaping up in the air confused by the snow / hoop combo .....talking of leaping in the air ....a few weeks ago something spooked Ruby as I was picking up her 'parcel'....she somehow managed to leap backwards and slipped her 'dogs trust harness' ...i still cannot believe how she did it..I was left with a harness a 'parcel bag' as she legged it across a mini roundabout,, across the road and dashed up the hill ...I was anxious and out of puff as I ran after her as she raced out of sight ....amazingly...she ran home and got the most serious 'telling off' from my wife ....dogs don't you just love them !
@phil_howcroft Oh blimey!! Well at least when Monty went on his mile and a half run in the snow (I'm not exaggerating) there were no roads near. I was beginning to wonder if he'd ever think abut coming home though. Glad to hear Ruby got home safely - did you get told off as well?!
Odd where places get their names from! Just having a laugh about yours & Phils adventures with your dogs, thank goodness Tui is a bit older & not running off too much, L would be hopeless running after her ! Lovely spot for a walk & all looks quiet on this picture !!
