Thanks for all your good wishes for my shoulder yesterday (and all the other days that I've whined about it). As yet a miracle cure has not been forthcoming but I have to get to the weekend before I'm allowed to fall into a trough of despair!!
MUCH needed rain arrived overnight and I spotted this pretty euphorbia with added jewels on the way to Jesus Green with Monty. I feel very off my game with photos at the moment so thanks for all your kind words about my efforts. Best large if you've got time.
I know we need the rain, we reeeeally need the rain, but I had forgotten how crap it is to cycle in it!!! This is really pretty, you captured such amazing detail. Love it!
@wrighty I know - I'm trying very hard to be PLEASED about it but it's not easy when a sopping wet cat jumps on your knee. But as my daughter says it's good for revising!
@wrighty I always hated cycling in the wind so much more, but then again, I've been cycling on the lanes, and a cross-wind means you're having to work so hard not to blown into traffic
@wrighty@shanne Martha you need waterproof jacket, waterproof trousers and waterproof shoes - just cycle in a wetsuit and you're sorted! Or a really big yellow cape....
Very pretty. Had a look at the snow on my euphorbia this morning but it was too windy - and I was too cold and grumpy... Its not as posh a variety as yours either.
You have a very discerning eye Judith to notice the beauty in this plant, you must look at things more closely than me cause I would just have glanced at it & passes by !! It is a little gem & of course a fave !!!
I like the black centres very much and the little spots of red. It must be a different variety to mine. Well spotted. Good luck with the shoulder - keep going!
Too bad I can't send some of our rain your way! I'm so glad you suggested viewing large. They are like beautiful jewels especially with the water droplets. fav. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for your shoulder
This looks gorgeous, especially with the drops. Nature's jewellery at its finest! Still holding my fingers crossed for the miracle cure. Don't we all :)? No, seriously, I hope you make it to the weekend in one piece!
Agreed, well worth viewing large and you have found a euphorbia looking really lovely. I don't like them usually; they feel like they have too many eyes, following me round the garden. OK, I'll keep taking the tablets.
What a wonderful capture, Judith! I especially love it with the magnifier. You can see the water droplets. Great composition and processing. I'm back after a month or so off, so I have some catching up to do. I hope to spend some time over the next couple days reviewing and commenting. Hope you are well.
