With knobs on...

The railings at the back of St John's College. Monty loves these railings because there are often squirrels on the other side. In fact I'm surprised he hasn't got his head stuck before now. In this picture, however, he seems to be planning on going home with the man. I like the railings but it's amazing how many times cars crash into them given that it's just a straight road - the College must despair at the repair costs. Taken yesterday - not quite so sunny today and a rather functional dog walk. X-rays of my shoulder to follow in Extras...
You know I love this king of pic Judith... of course it's a fav :-)

Very interesting composition and POV.

Do the squirrels ever sit up on top of one of these? or are they smaller than they look here? That would be a cute pic too! I love the dof and focus on this. Very interesting.

Reminds me of cannon balls.

Great shot and perspective. How is your shoulder doing? Nigel said the pain had eased a bit.
May 29th, 2012
@lesleyallen More comfortable at night and less sudden excruciating pain which I'm very grateful for!! Physio is hard work and sore though but I'm pressing on!

Love that you can see that friendly dog Monty making for home with a strange man, he is so clearly following directly behind! I always admire shots like this as you have obviously taken your time to get this in perfect focus never mind that people might be watching...so embarrassing !!

Very unusual shot which tells a story. Jinks did get his head stuck in railings once when he was a puppy.

Lol at the thought of Monty stuck in the railings, hope the Xrays are ok x
