Late to the party tonight - it's been a bit of a mad day ever since I realised that I had a lot more work to get through than I thought and that then had a knock on effect for the rest of the day. It was mizzling - light but extremely wetting rain - when I took Monty up on the Gogs. Mostly yellow leaves but in all my photos they looked more green - perhaps because the light was poor - so I decided just to go with green.
Three good things:
1. Pubs which serve coffee on wet afternoons so I could catch up with Governor papers in comfort while killing time between wet walk and retrieving Adam from work experience.
2. Remarkably light traffic so that I could get home in time for the actual Governors' Meeting after retrieving Adam....
3. Betty is no longer broody - hurrah!!
Sounds a long day with lots of juggling but that's what us women do best!!!! Time & Motion they used to call it!!! Broody hens are a pain...it's all to do with the heat they generate apparently so try & keep their bottoms cool!!!! Ha ha!!! That's what we were told anyway & harry puts ours in the sin bin when they are broody. This is the old night ark which has no nest boxes...not sure if it works!!!! Lovely leafy greens, haven't the trees done well this year?
Nice that you had a cozy, dry place to kill some time and get things accomplished while waiting.
