I think @jannaellen will recognise this driveway which leads down to the Department of Astronomy. The leaves are a nice yellow/green mix at the moment though I just heard somebody suggest that the fact that they are still on the trees is a sign of global warming. It got me thinking about when leaves normally drop off and with the benefit of 365 I could go back and look at last year. They seem to be at exactly the same stage despite completely different weather during the year so I still don't know when they 'should' fall off. Apart from this bit of philosophising I've made some under-cooked brownies for tomorrows hockey tournament and we've had to eat all the ones from the middle :0)
Three good things:
1. Very lazy day so far.
2. Off to a party tonight.
3. A bit of exciting news which will become clear in the fullness of time!
Fabulous red door at the end of the tunnel!!! I love undercooked brownies and we regularly ask ourselves why we bother to bake cookies when they taste so much better raw!!
Love the bloom on this shot & our trees seem to have most of their leaves on still although at the first wind it might be different!!! Your brownies have ti be a little under cooked to make them sticky, I think that was just a ruse to eat them!! Lovely focus on the door at the end...some people just know where to put a red door ! I like the sound of your three things & wait to here about your third!!!!
Love this tunnel of green...makes for a marvelous entrance way.
My grandmother used to call the slightly undercooked center portion of cakes, brownies and cookies, the "sad" spot. In my opinion the sad spot is the best part. :)
Exciting news is always a good thing!
Beautiful greens... I remember last autumn being very mild and then the freezing cold descended in a matter of days! Frozen pipes and all!
