Sadly I have failed the 'one a day' task today. I am resorting to another shot from Friday. I have had an efficient work day though and managed to get Monty out before the weather turned completely horrible, delivered Adam to and from work experience, wrote a reference for an old colleague and restocked the food cupboards. I now have an appointment with the Government's 138 page Green Paper on Special Educational Needs ahead of the Governing Body meeting tomorrow so I'm afraid a my be a bit slack on commenting tonight.
Three good things:
1. Quite a few ticks on my 'to do' list.
2. My annual big stationary shop tomorrow when I get to chose different colour folders for the new financial year (our's not the country's) - OK I'm dredging the barrel tonight.
3. Re-ordering my new lens a second time as the bank turned down payment the first time due to a fraud alert because I'd been to Birmingham. I realise that going to Birmingham is very suspicious but if they'd looked just a very short way down the records they would have noticed rent payments to Birmingham University which may have given them some clues. And the new price was higher than the original. OK - this is not a good thing. I have one and a half good things and a bad thing....
Oh title prize today I feel and nice shot too. Stupid banks. They did that to me once and then 1 week later allowed someone to remove all the money from all of my accounts in 249 almost identical transactions!
Great POV in this pic. Isn't it frustrating when banks and organisations get things wrong. Unfortunately, their machinery/IT programs haven't got any common sense!
@fueast Noooooo!!!! My sister reported a stolen card and they let them empty her bank account with the stolen card - took her ages to get it back as well. I know I shouldn't complain but Brum but it's not exactly jet setting!
@judithg Yeah I got it back but in the meantime the Chinese embassy had my passport and their payment didnt go through and it all turned into a very long drawn out afair. Birmingham. If thats unusual then they must have some intersting data about your usual habits!
Banks can be unbelievable slack with others money & then with the other hand won't let you spend your own, tut tut! Should make them pay the extra amount & delayed your delivery when you can't wait for your lens to arrive.
You sound a great asset to the School Governing Board Judith you could perhaps move on to the BBC!
I think you have had an exemplary day with masses of accomplishments and you should not even give a thought to the fact that your photo was taken on a different day! Lovely leaves on the tree and it looks as if the footpath goes up it!
@happypat Well they need something don't they! I'm not one for calling for resignations but when he said he hadn't read the papers I did think enough now!!
Somedays just checking things off the to-do list is good enough! You posted a photo - check! I even will do something that's not on the list, then write it in just so I can check it off.
Love this shot...looks like it could be an illustration/photo from a children's mystery novel.
Despite the setback from the bank, it sounds like you had a very productive day. @bpaquette ~ I thought I was the only to-do list embellisher. :)
@judithg judith, once upon a time musicians played the guitar / piano / drums / keyboard v/ trumpet etc......I think the X-Factor is on it's last legs this year...no doubt Simon Cowell will dream up something else....I always preferred the BBC format when they looked for Joseph / Nancy / Dorothy !
Judith, love the autumn colors on the trees, & the leaning sign, that makes one wonder exactly where the the foot path is going to lead (up the tree?) wonderful capture.
Good luck v The Goverment.
Lol at the title. :)

Did you manage to stay awake for the Green Paper?
Lovely pic.
