Park walk by judithg

Park walk

Quite enjoyed sloshing around in the puddles on Jesus Green - not so much after I found the hole in my welly but waterproof footwear seems to be elusive at the moment. This very cute pup went too fast for a sharp photo but he's in training to be a Hearing Dog for the Deaf so we'll forgive him. Clive James, the author and TV critic, lives in one of those houses beside the park. We used to see him around town quite regularly and Nigel once accidentally knocked on his door while looking for a friend who'd moved into a neighbouring student flat. He stood there opening and closing his mouth before saying, 'Does Jan live here?'. Needless to say he had the door closed in his face. I haven't seen him in a long time and I believe he is quite unwell.
Three good things:
1. The ground is sodden, the river has just broken its banks but we do not have property damage in the town.
2. Shoulder much better.
3. We have stolen Canada's top bank person for the Bank of England
Striking picture with crisp reflections the lights pretty amazing to.

Lets hope the new man keeps us on the straight & narrow!!! I don't know how you managed this low down shot without getting your knees wet!!!! perhaps you used the moving screen....I tried it & it worked quite well although not so easy to get images level! I really like this photo!
Poor Clive has been ill & on his own after his wife left I believe, courtesy of the Daily Mail. So glad your shoulder is better....my aches & pains improved vastly over the last two or three days too. Last visit to the phsio this week.

Beautiful mirror image.

@happypat Yes I used the screen mode - I spent ages tilting it in the wrong direction trying to make it straight - there must be some mirror effect somehow. There is mention of an affair in Wikipedia but it's not nice being ill (Leukaemia) and alone whatever you've done. A bit of Southern Hemisphere summer will fix any remaining aches!

@judithg Yes I am relying on a bit of sun although not too hot in NZ yet I hear. Two days in Singapore will do the trick!!!!! The son in law is reading The lonely Planet & a night market is on the cards I believe, must get practising with night shots!!!!!

lovely light and colour tones. Our oldest who's a deafie would have loved one of those hearing dogs but he's settling for a couple of cats instead :)
