A very busy Sunday and I am about to collapse on the sofa but will catch up diligently tomorrow as I have been delighted by the response to yesterday's photo - thank you. I took this couple this morning when I was walking Monty while Adam did county hockey training, The one on the left was calling to me - yellow bike and 'yellow' poster and the one on the right couldn't be passed over when the bikes were so cute. I dropped Monty at home via the garage because the 'tyre pressure low' warning light had come on - and it turns out I have a slow leak in a tyre which led to a slightly slower and more stressful journey up to Uppingham than I anticipated (but actually it was all fine).
Three good things:
1. Perishing on the touchline but excellent hockey and two really good wins which mean we go through to the regional competition in top place - 34 goals for and 2 conceded in 5 games.
2. The nice organiser brought in Dominos pizzas which converted boys from frozen to 'chipper' in about 3 seconds.
3. An excellent e-mail from my old neighbour with news on my 'quest' - more to come!!
I used to have a fancy dan Peugeot 407 will all the warning lights, typre pressure gauges etc. A couple of pressure gages broke and it was going to be mega expensive to replace them...so I said .."put ordinary valves on please "....nice safety features, but as the car got older (100K+ miles) I always found it stressful turning the ignition key for fear of another warning and expensive bill...
btw did I say "fab bikes"....oh yes I did ..."fab bikes"
@phil_howcroft I was blaming the warning technology - then I looked at the tyre and realised it was almost flat!! It keeps going down but hopefully they can seal it.
I always like your bike shots, Judith - love the way you've continued on with your "3 good things" - I've been away for a bit, so it's nice to see you've continued to do so!
Love your biking collage - but is the one on the left really yellow? Great news on the hockey front. I'll be in Cambridge tomorrow following a hospital appointment (11.30 so probably won't be there until after 1pm) - having some 'hand therapy'! I'll be on the lookout for some architecture that looks good in b&w. That shouldn't be too much of a problem.
I love the posters as much as the bikes! Marvelous shots of all.
Congrats to Adam and his teammates on their excellent play and their move into regional completion!
So cool that you might be getting somewhere with the amateur sleuthing...can't wait to hear...
Well done Adams team, hope you don't freeze to death watching them . Love your bike photo the two red ones are cute, I thought of you when I put my last pic. on Judith
@judithg Don't know why I gave you all that info really - it wasn't as if we were likely to bump into each other - but you never know. I was disappointed there wasn't any snow in Cambridge when we arrived. We had a good covering in St. Neots.
Two excellent bike shots!
