Apart from walking the dog and watching a hockey match (5-0 win) I've been chained to the oven today. And very enjoyable it was too. I forgot to take a photo of Mary Berry's chocolate cake with white chocolate ganache which looked rather splendid before I wrapped it in cling film. But here are her chocolate and banana muffins. I am 'catering manager' for a big tournament tomorrow - hence all the baking - so there may be radio silence tomorrow....
Three good things:
1. My photos are all over the school website hockey reports. I feel quite famous and the headmaster actually knows they are mine which is a total revelation as I thought he had no idea whose parent I was/am. (I can't work out the grammar for that sentence...)
2. Rachel and Nigel's karate cancelled tomorrow so they'll be at the hockey and I'll get chance for a catch up.
3. All you lovely people who keep commenting even though I've been posting totally rubbish photos!
These look really yummy. Gotta keep myself from licking the screen ;). Wow, catering manager, sounds really important! Just like "official hockey photograph" :). And your photos are not rubbish. Not every photo can be a masterpiece if you have a life ;).
Nothing rubbish about your photos, or your baking for that matter. Lovely presentation, they look delicious. I think we need a change of season to get inspired at the moment. I cant think of anything different to photograph at the moment and I think we are all the same
Nothing could be nicer than reading about our friends' days on 365 from all parts of the world including yours Judith! It must be great to be recognised for good photos as well as being capable as a catering manager!
They look fabulous!
And it's so nice to have an occasion to do a 'big bake'.
Once upon a time there were 6 hungry mouths here.......but when it is reduced to 2 ............well can't imagine how we could get through it all!!
But I miss it!
I'm sure everyone will love the feast tomorrow!
I had to Google Mary Berry - is that her real name?!? These look wondrous. I don't get excited about baking, but I sure do love to eat it all (which is why I don't bake!)
If you're truly grateful, where're my muffins? ;)
Your photos aren't rubbish, you have a great eye. I'm glad you're getting recognition for your photography!
Your 3 good things always make me smile! I love number 1. You totally deserve some recognition for your wonderful photos! Anyway, as someone one once said of the Queen, and is exactly the same for your headmaster, she's just another person who sits on the loo like the rest of us!
Your casual strokes with the piping bag look so professional Judith ....I think you might just have the title of 'catering manager ' for life!!
Not surprised you have come to the attention of the headmaster, they know a good photographer when they see one!! You will end up as official photographer for the school magazine yet!!
