Those who've followed me for a while will know that I have a regular engagement with the Poochie Parlour Fun Dog Show. I love being in the ring and getting in everybody's way. The show yesterday was the best yet as they finally had some friendly weather and the numbers and atmosphere were perfect. The money raised goes to the Toy Dog Rescue group run by Sue in the picture. Both of the little Dachshunds she's holding are disabled (one needs a wheel for a missing front leg and will be adopted out if a suitable home can be found - if you're interested money is required as she is uninsurable and Dachshund wheels don't come cheap but she's lovely and happy, the other has 'complex needs' and they'll keep hold of her). The adoration is mutual.
Three good things:
1. I remembered to clean my lenses this year.
2. I didn't cry in 'The best rescue dog' class.
3. All the family safe under one roof last night - no camping, festivals, parties, holidays to worry me...
@jantan Safely out of trouble but he did win 2nd prize in the photo competition in his absence (obviously that was a fix - he's clearly the most handsome dog in the country) - I'll have to take a photo of him with his rosette.
A beautiful array of fantastic dogs...what a day you had & so many photos you took....and you the official photographer must have been very involved emotionally specially for the little dachshunds
Perfect - right up my alley!!! Excellent choice for your center shot!!! You've done a lovely job making the collage (what program did you use?!?!) Glad you remembered to clean your lenses - um - did they need cleaning afterwards, too?!?!
a brilliant montage judith..all the dogs look lovely.....i want to pick a fave....but it's very hard ..perhaps the white poodle near the bottom right hand corner wins , with the big hair and rather snooty and gorgeous look :)
