I was busy photographing the very clear reflections of the railway bridge in the river when I heard the almost silent swish of a sculler approaching. I waited and caught him passing under the bridge and was amazed at how little he disturbed the reflection - clearly knows how to row.
Three good things:
1. Up to date with posting
2. A lovely Friday evening after a stormy start
3. New recipe in the oven and it smells lovely
A great shot and you made the most of an unexpected opportunity! I'm glad you have a lovely evening; we have a bit of a grey one. Waiting with bated breath to hear about the new recipe!
Brilliant shot Judith! I keep looking at the shot - is that a double reflection either side? Fascinating. Always nice to try something new in the kitchen, I did the same the other day but you've got to be in the right mood I find!
The faceless one...he must have been going at some speed! Brave you trying new recipes, I am so bored with my cooking but Harry always likes very plain food, preferably fish & chips!!
@happypat Some sort of butterflied chicken marinaded in garlic, lots of paprika, sugar and apple juice. Nigel can't stand apple juice because of teenage over-indulgance in cider so I was a bit worried but he'll never know - it doesn't taste of apple - really juicy and tender.
I'm trying to catch up now I'm home from uni and really only have time to comment on one photo from each of you so this is the one of yours I like the best from the ones I have missed. A wonderful take on the puddle shot xx
I wish I was that organised! Great shot by the way and well done on the posting. I must look for some recipes which use courgettes - we have a glut on the allotment.
@malc I'm also confused - is it upside down? Looks great whatever. @busylady Have you tried courgette cake - similar to carrot cake but even more luscious!
This is great. Such clear reflections, although I always get a bit confused by these reflection shots - I can never work it out. I just enjoy what I see in the end and don't try and understand.
I remember that feeling from way back!
