The day dawned frosty and bright and as I drove along The Backs (having agreed to transport Adam and a huge bag of hockey team shirts that I had the pleasure of washing to school) the scene was too pretty to ignore. In fact the Fellows' Garden at St John's (where there's no place to pull over) looked as though a unicorn might emerge at any moment but I made do further along with King's College just about visible in the distance. Of course it didn't stop me blaming Adam for being late to school :0)
Three GT:
1. Proper warmth in the sun
2. Pancakes with sugar and lemon (the ONLY way to go).
3. Seeing Rachel's university 'pancake photos' and remembering our Shrove Tuesday student shenanigans (it was traditionally a day off at Manchester University) which I haven't forgotten as they were only yesterday - I'm sure!
Wonderful lighting making the long shadows. Sorry we didn't get to meet up today , I had a busy time baking ,I had forgotten what appetites growing boys have.
Oh yes, sugar and lemon, definitely. Didn't get any though, got back a bit too late and couldn't be bothered, boo. Why hasn't anyone else faved this, it's very lovely?
Love the sun flare - beautiful morning. I made the major mistake of having carb-free part of diet covering pancake day so cooked them and watched everyone else eat them - not doing that again!
Agree about feeling University days were not long ago...
