Shelter

You might call the day 'changeable'. Rain followed by glorious sunshine, wind followed by massive hailstones. I thought about posting a lovely damp but sunny flower and instead you have our new robin box waiting for Nigel to nail it to a tree. I notice it has moved closer to the tree but is still not actually nailed on it.
Three GT:
1. By some miracle we dodged the hail during our dog walk.
2. Yves St Laurent (French film) for our Sunday cinema night - very interesting and the recreated clothes just gorgeous.
3. Dinner out afterwards for the film-debrief - no cooking!
Ah we had a bit of hail yesterday. By the way, I read your 'Three GT' as 'Three G&Ts' ....

This photo looks brilliant in the black! Its raining here now and our outdoor chairs are getting wet just like this one!

Nice composition. It really shines out on black, love the blue coloured wood behind the White. We have just put a blue tit box up, hopefully they are still looking.

Love your choice of colours, I keep thinking of beach huts. Great capture of the hail pounding down, bet the Robin will be pleased with her box.

@jennywren @maggiemae How do you view it on black? I miss one day of commenting and 365 changes completely!

blimey, it's all changed here - I loaded a couple of shots yesterday and now it's all changed!! nice shot - should have been in Boston, it was sunny all day there!

Nice tones. Hailstones? What do you make of the new fangled feed? I think it might be the final nail in my coffin.

This is beautiful and very inviting. Love the light!

@fueast And I assumed you'd embrace new technology. Loads of detail in a good shot like @sparkle 's - not in evidence here because it was shot through a very wet pane of glass! @sparkle Boston Lincs?

what a great pic!

i tie my bird boxes to the trees rather than put a nail in my tree.

love the rain / hail flying across the frame. A posh robin box too. No robins have moved into ours after 5 years :(. Although we have a sparrows nest and blackbird nest in our pyracantha bushes at the top of the garden

@phil_howcroft this one is going on more of a dead tree trunk than a live tree.
March 24th, 2014
@judithg ahh nice on judith , i did think it out of character of you to put a nail in a living tree :)

Yep I got roundly hailed on the other day. It came out of nowhere and I was really quite disgruntled about it.
