Would have slept for the whole of 'English night' and continued right on in to 'American night' given half a chance but in the end the cat stared at me so hard that I got up at 9. Just about holding on in now. Nigel spied this lovely Peacock sitting on our white chair. Needless to say by the time I got my camera it flew off - and sat somewhere prettier.
Breaking news on the osprey featured on 01/04. It has brought a mate over - she has been sitting on the side of the platform shouting at the male who has been dashing around collecting sticks. A woman after my own heart. Apparently you need to have a resting place near to the nest so that the male can eat some of the fish he catches before handing the rest over to the sitting female bird otherwise she won't share and he starves. Unfortunately for our friend her calling has attracted a rival and there have been some mid air fights - I'll keep you posted.
Three GT:
1. Ospreys have been rescued form the brink of extinction in Maryland.
2. I have designed our new shed and am going to send the plans to the shed makers - seems like the quickest way of getting what I want.
3. An 'old style' dog walk with Monty who is suitably tired now.
@judithg I'm doing fine thanks - yes, lovely spring weather today up at my parent's place for the weekend. Some of Dad's spring flowers are further on than mine but some are behind but the blossom is 'biding its time' as they say. Nothing quite as far on as your lovely picture!
Just perfect Judith and a nice welcome back to UK. I saw lots of peacock butterflies today in the rape-seed field, don't ever remember seeing so many - and quite so early. Glad Monty is getting back to normal now, he is a great little chap!
This is stunning Judith.....I don't often fave flowers but this is a masterpiece.....big fave from me!
Such happy news that the Osprey has a good woman to keep him in order!
Some great shed pictures in today's Mail....women's sheds!
